About the Art

❤️Dear friends, welcome to my creative workshop!

I want to tell you about my art form, as it is a relatively new direction in the world of handmade crafts.

So, I create exclusive collectible toys. They are often used as Christmas tree decorations, but their applications are much broader. These toys can serve as home décor, seasonal decorations, car mirror charms, drawer or cabinet handles, and more.

This type of craft is rapidly gaining popularity due to several advantages:

▪️ Eco-friendly materials

▪️ Durability

▪️ Wear resistance (they don’t break, crush, or get damaged)

▪️ The ability to create any design, size, shape, etc.

▪️ Exclusivity. These toys are usually made in limited quantities, which makes them highly valuable for collectors.

Now, a little about the creation process.

The most amazing thing about these toys is the magic of it: from almost nothing, a work of art emerges. The main materials are just ordinary cotton and glue.

Of course, brushes, paints, and a few other small supplies are needed, but overall, the material cost is very low.

The real value lies in skill. The outcome depends entirely on your imagination and craftsmanship.

Here’s a brief overview of the process:

First, a frame for the toy is made. There are many methods: wire, cotton, or foil.

Then comes the main work: pieces of cotton are glued to the frame, volumes are formed, and clothing is created.

During the process, the toy needs to be dried several times because the cotton becomes saturated with glue and hard to hold.

Drying can be done in different ways — at room temperature or in the oven.

Once the toy is ready, the most exciting part begins — painting. This is when the toy truly comes to life. The best part is that you can create any color, design, or pattern yourself (unlike sewing soft toys, which requires a large variety of fabrics).

Overall, this is an incredibly engaging activity. While working, you forget everything else — worries, problems — and immerse yourself in true creativity. Seeing the finished result is one of the most satisfying feelings.

Of course, like any craft, working with cotton requires experience and skill. You need to “feel” the material: how hard to press, how to smooth it properly — and this comes with every new toy.

I also want to note that besides being a creative outlet, these toys can be a profitable venture if you want to start a small business or earn extra income. They are in high demand, and usually, demand exceeds supply.

In my workshop, I not only create toys but also show the step-by-step process in my signature master classes. My approach is very thorough — I carefully explain and demonstrate each action and its purpose. So if you decide to try it yourself, I warmly invite you to join my classes.

To be continued.
