In this masterclass, we’ll make three mushrooms that are completely different in shape, character, and mood: a mysterious toadstool with a translucent, almost ghostly cap, a mystical puffball that looks like it stepped out of an old fairy tale, and a cozy but truly “woodland” porcini — the kind of mushroom that hides in the moss.
This isn’t just a mushroom patch — it’s a small piece of a mysterious forest on your shelf. The kind of forest where the trees whisper, the paths twist and turn, and creatures better left undisturbed hide among the fallen leaves and moss.
It fits perfectly with autumn and Halloween aesthetics, and its restrained, refined palette makes these mushrooms right at home in gothic, vintage, or even fairytale-dark décor — the kind found in old English tales of wizards and enigmatic woods.
The main “highlight” of this course is that we won’t just sculpt mushrooms — we’ll explore 3 different types of clay: light air-dry clay, marshmallow clay, and cold porcelain, combining them in places to achieve the most realistic, atmospheric effect possible.
